    4. Alliance Overview and Goals

      The OSHA and Roadway Work Zone Alliance focuses on providing Partner members and others with information, guidance, and access to training resources within the roadway construction work zone industry to reduce workplace incidents and prevent worker exposures to runover/backover hazards, struck-by, excessive noise, and sprains and strains, as well as illnesses associated with silica exposure.

    In addition to these formal meetings, the Alliance coordinators from each group maintained regular contact throughout the reporting period and held workgroup meetings (as needed) to monitor the Alliance's progress and results.

  3. Results of Alliance Activities in Support of Agreement Goals

    Dissemination: Alliance Program participant shared information on agency-developed or OSHA Alliance Program-developed tools and resources, OSHA standards/rulemakings, enforcement, and outreach campaigns, including campaigns focusing on falls, heat, and was a partner for the Agency's Safe +Sound Week.

    • As a Partner for Safe + Sound Week 2018, AGC collaborated with OSHA's Directorate of Standards and Guidance (DSG) in developing a Fact Sheet focusing on construction hazard information.
    • As a Partner for Safe + Sound Week 2018, ATSSA collaborated with OSHA's Directorate of Standards and Guidance (DSG) in developing a Fact Sheet focusing on traffic safety services hazard information.
