Thermoforming Machine Safety Tour - Slide 42

Featured Areas
(1) The trim station holds the trim die. The sharp knives used on the trim die can cause cuts. Appropriate PPE must be worn when working around these knives. Working on the trim dies requires proper lockout and tagout including blocking to prevent possible crushing and amputation injuries. (2) This is the form station. A typical form station has the mold mounted on one platen and the pressure box mounted on the other. Vacuum holes in the mold and air pressure from the pressure box are used to produce highly defined plastic parts.
