will be effective an additional nine months until June 13, 1990.
OSHA has not yet completed work on certain proposed amendments to
the Hazard Communication Standard (see 53:29822, 8/8/88). These
amendments are relevant to the decision as to whether it would be
appropriate to substitute the amended Hazard Communication Standard
for stayed paragraphs of the Formaldehyde Standard.

OSHA has extended the administrative stay of 29 CFR 1910.1048(m)(1) (i) through (m)(4)(ii), Occupational Exposure to Formaldehyde, for an additional 60 days. The stay will be effective until August 13, 1990. While this stay is in effect, employers must continue to comply with the provisions of OSHA''s Hazard Communication Standard.
