  • The Chicago, IL Regional Office conducted outreach to professional dairy producers regarding grain handling hazards during the fall harvesting season.
  • The Wichita, KS Area Office works to proactively address safety and health risks for Kansas agricultural employers and workers by serving on the Kansas Farmworker Health Program Advisory Council and participating in the Nurture Kansas Agriculture Coalition.
  • The Sioux Falls, SD Area Office collaborated with the South Dakota Agribusiness Association in discussing grain handling hazards and solutions with area small businesses.
Fall Prevention
  • New York City Region representatives participated in Fall Stand-Down events at the stadium construction sites for the Buffalo Bills and New York City Football Club.
  • The Houston North and Houston South, TX Area Offices participated in the Annual Houston Fall Prevention Alliance and Worker Memorial Day Event.
  • The San Franciso, CA Regional Office and Northwest Area Office (Portland, OR) worked with the Oregon State Plan to bring workplace safety-related billboards to the region to promote fall prevention awareness.
Heat Illness Prevention
  • The Anchorage, AK Area Director provided training on protecting workers against extreme temperature exposures during NOAA’s National Safety Week.
  • The Jacksonville and Orlando, FL Area Offices conducted outreach to workers in North and Central Florida about heat illness prevention, fall prevention and overall workplace safety practices.
  • The Peoria, IL Area Office addressed best practices for implementing heat illness prevention programs at an event sponsored by the Greater Peoria Home Builders Association
  • The Birmingham Region, in collaboration with the Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee Consultation Programs, launched the H2OSHA campaign to promote heat illness prevention awareness.
Maritime and Seafood Processing
  • The Providence, RI, and Bridgeport, CT Area Offices participated in a Fall Stand-Down event for the maritime industries in Groton, CT.
  • The Charleston, WV Area Office attended the annual Virginia Ship Repair Association Safety and Health Seminar and addressed approximately 250 employers and workers regarding maritime hazards and what to expect when OSHA does an inspection.
  • The San Francisco, CA Regional Office worked with the Alaska State Plan consultation program to initiate a new Seafood Industry Safety Committee, which held its first meeting in January 2025.
Mental Health and Suicide Prevention
  • The Kansas City, MO Area Office spoke with over a hundred construction workers at a Strategic Partnership site on suicide prevention awareness and OSHA resources available to support employees and employers.
  • The Boston, MA Region, in collaboration with the OSHA Training Institute Education Center at Keene State College, sponsored a webinar on mental health and suicide prevention in the workplace for 150 attendees.
  • The Philadelphia, PA region participated in a quarterly safety meeting with the Steel Erectors Association to discuss suicide prevention and its impacts in the construction industry.
Recordkeeping
  • The New York City Region hosted seven webinars covering topics such as OSHA Recordkeeping, Fall Prevention in Construction and Emergency Response for Road Debris Removal.
  • The Baton Rouge, LA Area Office delivered a presentation on recordkeeping requirements for healthcare industry stakeholders
Roadway Work Zone Safety
  • The Georgia Area Offices collaborated with the longstanding Georgia Struck-By Alliance to urge worksites to participate in activities in observance of National Work Zone Awareness Week and the National Stand-Down to Prevent Struck-By Incidents.
  • New York City Region representatives assisted in the delivery of 36 work zone safety courses through the Rutgers Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation.
Severe Weather
  • The San Antonio, TX Area Office provided outreach and emergency response information following the catastrophic floods around the Guadalupe River following Tropical Storm Barry and Hurricane Flossie.
  • The Wichita, KS Area Office conducted tornado response and recovery outreach to local emergency management staff, linemen, response teams, employers, and residents in Grinnell and Pelvna after a tornado outbreak devastated two Kansas towns.
  • The Bridgeport, CT Area Office provided training to area fire department responders regarding when and how to contact OSHA in the event of a workplace incident.
Small Business
  • The Atlanta-East Area Office supported the Associated Builder and Contractors (ABC) of Georgia Safety Forum with several workplace safety presentations for construction industry small business owners.
  • The Chicago Regional Office worked with the University of Illinois Extension Program to expand outreach to small businesses regarding available workplace safety and health resources.
  • The Ft. Lauderdale, FL Area Office presented information on machine guarding, forklift safety, hazard communication, and other topics at a safety fair for small manufacturers sponsored by the South Florida Manufacturing Association.
  • The Kansas City Regional and Omaha, NE Area Office partnered with the Missouri On-Site Consultation Program and the Great Plains OSHA Education Center in delivering two webinars for small businesses regarding workplace hazards, training, and consultation services.
  • The OSHA Philadelphia Regional Office continues to collaborate with the Small Business Administration to conduct informational webinars for small businesses in the greater metropolitan area.
Trenching and Excavation
  • The Boston, MA Region and several state consultation programs delivered technical presentations and staffed exhibit booths at several conferences hosted by the Managing Underground Safety Training (MUST) collaborative in New England.
  • The Fort Worth, TX Area Office participated in a live trenching safety event sponsored by the Utility and Excavation Contractors that included demonstrations on safety practices such as shoring, sloping, and benching.
  • The Omaha, NE Area Office presented information on trenching safety requirements at the Trench Safety Stand-Down event hosted by National Utilities Contractors Association (NUCA) of Nebraska.
  • The Denver and Englewood, CO Area Offices participated in the Trench Stand Down initiative hosted by the National Utility Contractors Association (NUCA) of Colorado, hosting a booth and giving a presentation at the Trench Safety and Damage Prevention Stand Down (TSSD).
Youth Workers
  • The Tampa, FL Area Office supported the Tampa Bay Construction Career Days (TBCCD) -Learning Lab, provided outreach to junior and senior high school students.
  • The Denver, CO Area and Regional Offices participated in Career Day at an area high school and spoke to students preparing to enter the workforce about workplace safety and health hazards and workers’ rights.
  • The New York City Region participated in a two-day event highlighting construction industry trades and educational opportunities for high school students.
  • The Wilkes-Barre, PA Area Office gave a presentation on electrical safety for students graduating from the electrical construction technology program class at Luzerne County Community College.
  • The Pittsburgh, PA Area Office engaged with participants at a Building Guild of Western PA career fair regarding construction industry safety practices and workers' rights.
