Summary Nr: 126344.015Event: 05/20/2020Employee Is Struck In Head With Masonry Brick, Later Dies
At 7:30 a.m. on May 20, 2020, an employee was working to clear out a section of existing wall to lay brick in an opening left where some equipment was removed. At some point, a six foot high by six foot long section of wall above the employ ee came loose. One of the falling bricks struck the employee's head, who was wea ring a hard hat at the time. The employee was hospitalized for two days for seve re blunt force trauma to the head and later died of the injuries sustained.
