Employee Killed When Crushed by House

On April 18, 2011 an employee was attempting to install safety cribbing under an elevated house that was being raised to prevent flooding. The house was lifted approximately 40 inches. The employee entered into a hole approximately 2 feet deep to begin installing safety cribbing. Before the safety cribbing could be installed, the house shifted partially to the right and slide forward approximately 5 feet and collapsed onto the employee. The employee was pinned between the ground and the slab of the structure. The employee died.
