Employee Is Injured in Fall from Climbing Wall Attraction

On July 1, 2002, Employee #1, an amusement park climbing wall line operator, was on a stationary climbing wall using an auto-belay descent control device without a secondary line. When the carabiner on the decent control cable became accidently disengaged from the rock climbing harness, he fell over 15 ft. Employee #1 was hospitalized with a fracture. He had four days of climbing wall experience.
