Employee killed when vapors from gasoline tank truck explode

Employee #1 was on top of a semi-trailer tank truck that had contained gasoline. He was making repairs to the Scully automated fuel system, which detected when a section of the tank was full. He was connecting five wires together using shrink wrap and a propane torch to heat the shrink wrap when the tank ignited and exploded. Employee #1 was killed. The source of ignition was not determined.
