Employee is caught in electrical arc flash and is burned

At 11:00 a.m. on January 9, 2018, Employee #1, employed by an electrical services company, was engaged in electrical work at a multiemployer construction project, an existing commercial building. He was updating the switchgear when an arc flash occurred. Employee #1 was burned in the explosion. Emergency services were called, and Employee #1 was transported to the hospital, where he was admitted and treated for his burns.
