- Inspection Procedures for Construction Sites Using Portland Cement. (April 16, 2007). Instructs OSHA compliance officers not to apply new 29 CFR 1926.1126 for construction site exposures to portland cement. Portland cement is specifically excluded from that standard, even though cement may have trace amounts of chromium (VI). Officers are instructed, instead, to enforce existing standards for PPE, sanitation, air contaminants, hazard communication, and recordkeeping.
