The grantee will implement training to workers and employers exposed to health hazards involving the use of spray polyurethane foam which includes methylene diphenel diisocyanate and polyolresins. Training will include the safe transporting, handling, cutting/scraping, heating, and grinding of this product.

The grantee will implement electrical safety training for workers and employers in the manufacturing industry in western Kentucky and southern Indiana. The training will target limited-English speaking, non-English speaking, low-literacy, other hard-to-reach workers, and small businesses.
National Association of Home Builders Research Center Upper Marlboro MD $220,000 Construction Fall Protection
The grantee will present fall protection training for at-risk workers and employers in residential construction. The training will target small business contractors, and non-English speaking and minority workers. Training will be delivered in both English and Spanish.
Ozarks Technical Community College Springfield MO $181,674 General Industry Confined Space Hazards in General Industry
The grantee will develop and implement confined space training to small business workers and employers at over 20 manufacturing companies in south central and southwest Missouri. Training materials will include a CD for participants.
North Carolina Occupational Safety and Health Project Greensboro NC $80,000 Both Construction and General Industry Musculoskeletal Disorders and Ergonomic Principles
The grantee will implement training on recognizing and reducing/eliminating musculoskeletal hazards to workers and employers in North Carolina. The training will target limited-English, youth, and temporary workers. Training will be offered in both English and Spanish.
UMDNJ-School of Public Health Piscataway NJ $220,000 Construction Focus Four
The grantee will implement a bilingual training program for workers and employers regarding construction focus four hazards: falls, electric, struck-by and caught in between. The program will target small construction employers, and temporary workers. Five sessions will be presented in Spanish.
Ohio State University Columbus OH $200,000 General Industry Musculoskeletal Disorders and Ergonomic Principles
The grantee will implement training for workers on musculoskeletal disorders (MSD) and ergonomic principles. Training will focus on hazards faced by the hotel industry in OSHA Region V and will target young minority and limited English speaking workers.

The grantee will implement training on the creation of a safety and health program that includes such topics as worksite safety analysis. The training will target small-to-medium sized construction companies in the San Antonio area.

The grantee will implement bi-lingual work zone safety training to construction workers and employers in OSHA Region VI. The grantee will update its existing Work Zone Traffic Control and Defensive Flagging training courses and translate them into Spanish.

The grantee will develop and implement a variety of materials and training modules on the safe handling of nano materials. The targeted audience is workers whose primary responsibility is safety within small-to-medium sized chemical companies that manufacture or process nano materials.
Professional Landcare Network Herndon VA $164,900 General Industry Landscaping & Tree Service Safety
The grantee will implement interactive participatory training on noise (hearing conservation), machine/power tool hazards, fall hazards, and worker rights under OSHA. The training will focus on hazards faced by landscape service workers and will include a needs assessment to tailor the training to the equipment used by the audience.
