OSHA amends standards in 1910 and 1915 to include reference to employee exposure to Cadmium. The Authority section of 1910, 1915 and 1926, Subpart D are revised and a new paragraph is added to 1910.19. 1910.1000, tables Z-1-A and Z-2 are amended to include entries for Cadmium.

On September 14, 1992 OSHA published final standards governing occupational exposure to Cadmium (57 FR 42102). These standards are designed to reduce the risks from exposure to Cadmium. At that time OSHA submitted the information collection requirements to OMB for review under the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980. This document amends the Sept. 14, 1992 FEDERAL REGISTER document to properly display the OMB control numbers. These amendments are effective December 14, 1992. OSHA is publishing a new standard for occupational exposure to Cadmium applicable to general industry and agriculture and maritime. A separate standard regulating exposure to cadmium in the construction industry was also developed, because the differences in job duration, exposure and worksite conditions warrant unique treatment. OSHA is publishing the construction standard at 29 CFR 1926.63.
