Employee Falls From Tower And Is Killed

At approximately 5:30 p.m. on November 22, 2013, Employee #1 and a three-person crew, two technicians and a foreman, were engaged in trouble shooting activities on a communication tower. As Employee #1 was performing maintenance activities on the tower, he lost his balance and fell approximately 60 ft. He was not wearing fall protection and died from injuries suffered when he struck an expanded metal walkway/platform approximately 6 ft above the ground level.
