Worker Falls, Hits Head and Later Dies

On November 1, 2013, Employee #1 with Pasquotank County Solid Waste, fainted while carrying a box to the cardboard compactor and hit his head. Employee #1 fell two more times at a nursing home on December 19, 2013 where he suffered additional head injuries. Employee #1 died in the nursing home December 4, 2014. Based on medical evidence presented, Employee #1 died from natural causes unrelated to the head injuries.
