Employee Is Struck in the Head by Hood Guard, Later Dies

On November 30, 2012, Employee #1 was cleaning up around the mill after production had stopped for the day. The employee was helping a coworker removed the hood guard for the chipper before the machine stopped running. As Employee #1 removed the guard, it struck the employee in the head. Employee #1 was transported to an area hospital, where he later died.
