Employee Amputates Finger When Struck by Saw Blade

On May 10, 2013, Employee #1 was using a table saw to fabricate cuts on 2 by 2 in. stock of wood. The employee's left middle finger struck the rotating saw blade while he was pushing the wood past the blade. Employee #1 was transported by ambulance to Community Regional Medical Center, where his right middle finger was amputated. The employee was later released.
