Laborer Amputates Fingers While Cutting Boards with Chop Saw

At approximately 4:20 p.m. on November 20, 2012, Employee #1, a 51-year-old male general laborer with Custom Wood Products Inc., was cutting two pieces of 2 in. by 6 in. boards on a Whirlwind 212R Chop (Jump) saw when his fingers came in contact with the running saw blade. Employee #1 sustained a partial finger amputation in the event. Employee #1 was performing his normal work duties at the time.
