Employee Is Killed in Excavation Wall Collapse

About 3:30 p.m. on October 12, 2012, Employee #1, a handyman with Fred Dow, was leveling off the bottom of the excavation, and the side wall collapsed on him. A rescue attempt was started, but Employee #1 was killed. The Cal/OSHA Fresno District office determined that the incident was not in the jurisdiction of the Division.
