Employee Collapses from Head Injury

At approximately 12:30 p.m. on September 7, 2013, Employee #1 was working at the Thrift Store. He was getting up when he bumped his head on an overhead storage cabinet and sustained a bleeding injury. He told one of the other employees about the injury and she wiped a small amount of blood with an alcohol pad. Employee #1 went home and did not seek any medical attention at this time. The store management received notification from Employee #1's daughter that he had collapsed at home and was rushed to Fountain Valley Regional Medical Center for treatment by Emergency Services. Surgery was performed and he was transferred to Kaiser Permanente Hospital for further treatment. He was later sent to Care Meridan for rehabilitation.
