Employee Is Injured When Struck by Company Vehicle

At approximately 11:58 a.m. on June 14, 2012, an employee, working as a tractor operator for Altman Specialty Plants, Inc., unhitched a trailer at the plant and made a "U" turn with the company's vehicle a dirt road. As he made the "U", his tractor and a vehicle driven by another employee of Altman Specialty Plants, Inc. collided. The employee fell off of the tractor landing on his left shoulder and injuring his right knee and ankle. The injured worker was transported to Natividad Medical Center in Salinas by the paramedics, where he was treated for multiple contusions and released.
