Employee Suffers Fractures When Thrown Into a Trench

At approximately 3:00 p.m. on September 13, 2012, Employee #1, a sub-contractor, for Vickers Concrete Sawing, Inc., was operating a concrete saw, when it kicked back, throwing him into an 8-ft deep trench. The employee was transported to San Francisco General Hospital, where he was treated for a fractured cervical vertebra, three fractured thoracic vertebra, a sprained right wrist and multiple contusions. Employee #1 remains hospitalized.
