Employee Is Crushed in Between Two Rail Cars

On January 30, 2012 Employee #1 of Gary Railway was performing switching duties. Employee #1 was riding on the railcar and providing information to the operator when to stop the train when it was being sided. Employee #1 was incorrect on the distance and the engineer did not have enough distance to stop the engine. Employee #1 was caught between the rail cars being sided and the rail cars being filled, resulting in his fatality.
