Employee Is Pinned Between Truck and Dock, Later Dies

At approximately 8:12 a.m. on May 24, 2011, Employee #1 was unloading an eighteen-wheeler semi-trailer truck containing pool supplies at the receiving dock. After unloading the supplies, Employee #1 jumped from the dock to repair the rubber pads on the dock when the truck moved away from the dock. The rubber pads on the dock had broken off the day prior. As he repaired the rubber pad, the truck rolled backward pinning him between the bumper on the truck and the loading dock. Emergency personnel arrived at the site and provided medical assistance. Employee #1 was transported to a nearby hospital, where he died from unspecified injuries.
