Employee Suffers Lower Back Injury

On May 26, 2013, Employee #1 was working as a custodian in the amusement park and near a parade route that was barricaded by ropes and stanchions. After the parade was over, Employee #1 bent down under the rope to get to the other side. He felt a pop and subsequent pain in his lower back. Employee #1 was transported to a medical center, where he received treatment and underwent back surgery after about a day of observation. He was then hospitalized for additional ten days.
