Employee Trips and Falls, Fractures Ankle

On January 27, 2013, Employee #1, with Saddleback Memorial Medical Center, was delivering an IV pole to a hospital department. The pole suddenly tipped, and when Employee #1 tried to right the pole, she tripped on it and fell. She fractured her right ankle. Employee #1 was taken to the emergency room, where her ankle was x-rayed, and then she was admitted for surgery. Employee #1 was a direct hire of the employer.
