Employee Falls Off Ladder and Suffers Fractured Ribs

On January 16, 2013 Employee #1 of Cedar Fair suffered a serious injury. Employee #1 was attempting to remove filters from a shop shelf using a damaged ladder, one with no safety feet. As he climbed up to the second shelf, about 6 feet, the ladder slipped out from under him and he fell, landing on a compressed gas cylinder. Employee #1 suffered fractured ribs and a pneumothorax for which he was hospitalized.
