Summary Nr: 202554895Event: 10/03/2012Employee Gets Struck By Amusement Ride Vehicle
On October 3, 2012, Employee #1, a maintenance mechanic of Disneyland Resort was injured. On the night of the accident, Employee #1 was one of two maintenance machinists performing check out maintenance on an amusement attraction vehicle. Employee #1 was observed standing in a danger zone, and although a warning was shouted, he was struck by the attraction vehicle which was traveling at approximately 30 mph. Employee #1 was hospitalized with multiple fractures and internal injuries.
