Employee Trips and Falls on a Piece of Wood

On October 24, 2011 Employee #1 was walking out of the women's locker room. As she was going around a corner, she saw a stack of lumber against the wall and began to walk around it. However, Employee #1 did not notice the 2" by 4" pieces of wood that the stack was sitting on, acting as pallet. There were two such pieces sticking out about 2 feet at the base of the stack. Employee #1 tripped on the first 2"by 4" lumber and did not fall. However not realizing there was a second one at the other end (approx. 4 feet away), she tripped and fell over the second one. Employee #1 suffered multiple fractures in her right foot.
