Investigation Summary
On July 25, 2011, a contract Employee, working for an employer engaged in the home products manufacturing business, was ripping filler strip from a product, when his finger inadvertently struck the saw blade. The employee suffered an amputation of his right middle finger tip at the first digit. The blade on the saw was not appropriately guarded.
