Investigation Summary
On May 24, 2011, Employee #1, a schoolteacher, was walking with some students. One of the students was pulling a rolling backpack. As Employee #1 walked with them, she struck the backpack with her foot, causing her to trip and she fell upon a concrete walkway. She suffered a broken left arm and a fracture to the left shoulder. Employee #1 was transported to a medical center, where she was treated and then hospitalized for 2.5 days.
