Employee Sustains Abrasion from Falling Plywood

On July 11, 2011, Employee #1 and #2 were working on the exterior of a building. Employee #1 was on the ground level and Employee #2 was two stories above. Employee #2 dropped a 4-ft by 8-ft sheet of 0.5-inch plywood. The plywood landed on a metal railing next to Employee #1 and deflected onto his neck and right shoulder, causing an abrasion. Employee #1 was hospitalized for treatment. Employee #2 was not injured.
