Investigation Summary
On January 10, 2011, a 56-year-old male died of a heart attack while cutting firewood alone in the woods. The employee was a cousin of the employer, but he was on a normal seasonal layoff at the time. During interviews of the parties involved, it was determined that there was no current employee/employer relationship, and the employee was using his own equipment cutting firewood for his personal benefit.
