Employee Injured While Inflating Tire

At approximately 11:22 a.m. on March 5, 2012, Employee #1 sustained a leg and hand injury while in the course of his normal work duties. Employee #1 was inflating a John Deere tractor's front right tire when the rim flange blew off. A metal plate which had been previously welded to the flange, struck Employee #1 and fractured his hand and leg. Employee #1 was hospitalized locally following this incident.
