Employee's Arm Is Injured When Caught in Chain Drive

On March 2, 2011, Employee #1, with Boghosian Raisin Packing Co., Inc., was removing a jammed cardboard box from the bottom of a box taping and sealing machine. He had shut off the machine's power switch prior to crawling below it. Employee #1's supervisor noticed the boxing line was stopped and reactivated it. Employee #1's right arm was caught between the conveyor chain and drive sprocket. He was hospitalized for a laceration.
