Employee Falls from Stock Picker in Warehouse

On November 13, 2010 Employee #1 of Baxter Auto Parts Inc., was working alone in the warehouse operating a stock picker type powered industrial truck. The machine is used to travel to elevated aisle locations allowing employees to retrieve items stored on racks. Employee #1, who was not wearing any form of fall protection, fell from either the rack or the machine from approximately 13 feet suffering lacerations to the head and a concussion. Employee #1 was hospitalized. There were no witnesses.
