Employee Is Injured after Falling Through an Unguarded Hole

At approximately 1:00 p.m. on January 12, 2012, Employee #1, performing duties of foreman, was walking backward on the jobsite when suddenly he fell 13 feet through a skylight opening approximately 5 feet by 7 feet. He was transported to Bellflower Medical Center and hospitalized for twelve days. Cal/OSHA has determined that the accident was caused by failure to guard a roof opening. Fregoso's Construction, the G.C. on the site, called Cal/OSHA on January 17, 2012, and provided description of the accident.
