Employee Is Injured When Cut by Glass

At Approximately 10:00 a.m. on May 5, 2011, Employee #1, a sample display technician of Contractors Wardrobe Incorporated, was performing her daily duties, assembling display door handles. She was assembling a door handle and accidentally got a glass sliver into her right index finger. Employee #1 was treated at employee was treated at Northridge Hospital. An investigation concluded that violation of CCR Title 8 Sec:3384(a) was the cause of this incident, because the employer did not provide adequate hand protection for their employees. As a result, the Division issued a Repeat General citation to the employer for CCR Title 8 Sec:3384(a) due to the fact that the incident was not expected to result in death or serious physical harm.
