Worker Crushes Head in Gears on Packing Machine, Later Dies

On December 23, 2011, Employee #1, a 33-year-old male maintenance man with Music Mountain Water Inc., was performing maintenance on a packing machine conveyor. The machine was energized at the time, and Employee #1's head got wedged in the gears of it, crushing him. Employee #1 was sent to the LSU Health Science Center, where he died on December 29, 2011.
