One Employee Dies and One Seriously Injured in Explosion

Employee #1 and Employee #2 were assigned the duty of painting a dredging vessel. Employee #1 and #2 were painting the interior of a pontoon, in an enclosed space, when the explosion occurred. Employee #1 and Employee #2 received severe burns, Employee #2, was transported to the hospital by a contractor that was near by the site. Employee #1 died five days later in the hospital.
