Employee Sustains Chemical Burns While Cleaning

At approximately 1:00 a.m. on November 14, 2009, Employee #1, a sanitation worker with Resers Fine Foods, Inc., was cleaning the bottom of a vegetable tank. Immediately after laying on the floor facing up, he experienced a burning sensation. Employee #1 was hospitalized in a burn unit for chemical burns to his right shoulder and upper arm (where his clothing was saturated by the liquid on the floor).
