Employee Amputates Fingertip in Broach Machine

At approximately 6:00 p.m. on October 3, 2011, Employee #1 was using his left hand index finger to dislodge a jam in an unspecified part of a Marroquin Industries Corporation, Broach Machine, Model Number MIC7931, Serial Number 623987. The part was dislodged, and the machine's 'jaws' closed immediately on the tip of the index finger. Employee #1 was treated for an amputation and was not hospitalized.
