Forklift Runs over Employee Ankle

On July 15, 2009, Employee #1, was working as a spotter while a coworker was operating a forklift to move an approximately 70-inch by 130-inch piece of granite. While moving the granite the operator of the forklift stated that he looked into the building at another employee that was walking towards them. As the operator was looking into the building, Employee #1 fell in front of the forklift and had his left foot and ankle run onto by the forklift. As a result Employee #1 sustained a fracture of his left fibula. Employee #1 was transported by ambulance helicopter to Frederick Memorial Hospital where he received treatment.
