Employee Collapses While Working in Warehouse, Later Dies

At or about 3:15 a.m. on December 8, 2009, Employee #1 was pulling product to fill a load ticket order. He was approximately 10 feet from his pallet truck. A coworker was approximately 10 feet away in the opposite direction. Employee #1 collapsed and was found unconscious in the warehouse. Emergency responders indicated a possible cerebral vascular injury. He was transported by ambulance to Loma Linda University Medical Center and passed away on December 11, 2009. At the time of the incident, The cause of the employee's collapse is unclear. The employer operates a beverage distribution center.
