Employee Is Electrocuted While Disconnecting Power

On May 29, 2009, an employee was working as an electrician. He was up on a 12-foot stepladder disconnecting electrical power in an overhead junction box to fluorescent lights in a nearby office area that was being remodeled. The employee apparently came into contact with 277 Volt AC and another part of his body touched grounded metal surfaces around the open junction box. The electrician received was electrocuted.
