Employee's Back Is Sprained When Struck by Falling Load

At 1:45 p.m. on November 23, 2009, Employee #1, a test engineer employed by NSG Technology Incorporated, was assisting another employee with unloading a large piece of equipment from a crate. The other employee was using a forklift to remove the equipment from the crate, when the load became unstable and fell onto Employee #1. He was taken to San Jose Regional Hospital, where he was hospitalized for more than 24 hours for a back sprain.
