Investigation Summary
On April 5, 2011, Employee #1, an employee of Amcor Rigid Plastics, and a coworker were performing a change over operation. They were setting up for the next production run on Line #5, a Series SBO10 Blow Molder machine. Employee #1 and the coworker moved the wheel manually. For some reason, Employee #1 placed his ring finger in a pinch point. Employee #1 sustained a partial amputation to his ring finger when caught between the frame and an unspecified machine part. Employee #1 was not hospitalized.
