Employee Trips, Falls, Suffers Lacerations and Fracture

On July 13, 2009, Employee #1, a hospital volunteer, was walking in the hallway in the Post-Op side of surgery, on her way to talk to a family. Employee #1 tripped on her shoe and fell forward. Employee #1's face hit a door that was open against a wall at the end of the hall. Employee #1 suffered facial lacerations and a fractured C-2 vertebra. Employee #1 was hospitalized and had surgery the following night.
