Employee Dies from Heart Attack While Sitting on Steps

Employee #1 was working as a volunteer at the Carolina Chocolate Festival. While serving as an escort, the employee was sitting on the steps of a parking lot at the Sheraton Atlantic Beach hotel. She then collapsed. She was transported by emergency services to Carteret Community Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. She died from a heart attack.
