Employee Suffers Finger Laceration

On January 20, 2011 Employee #1 suffered a laceration on left index finger resulting in surgery and hospitalization. Employee #1, an office manager of University of California Irvine Health Center had purchased a glass candle jar on her lunch break and brought it to her office. She was trying to open the lid by squeezing and twisting the lid when the glass jar broke and cut her finger. Employee #1 was transported to UCI Medical Center, Orange CA, where she was treated for her injury and had surgery the next day
