Employee suffers repetitive motion injury

On June 3, 2010, Employee #1 of The Boeing Company, sustained a repetitive motion injury (RMI). Employee #1 performs maintenance repairs on HVAC systems, mechanized pumps and autoclaves, using traditional tools. Employee #1 routinely walks long distances and climbs ladders and stairs while carrying a 40 lb. tool bag. Employee #1 was involved with this activity for approximately 29 years, subsequently; the physician attributed this activity as well as age to the need for total left hip replacement surgery. Employee #1 continued to receive treatment and was scheduled for in-patient surgery on July 15, 2010.
